The Institute of Process Engineering in Life Science 2 - EBT currently consists of a total of 28 staff, PhD students and lecturers under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dirk Holtmann.
Our mission is...
...to translate scientific findings into effective and sustainable solutions in accordance with the principles of the bioeconomy. To this end, we use renewable raw materials and further develop biological and process engineering technologies in order to conserve resources and create added value for society.
At the same time, we see ourselves as a place of education for students, where curiosity, creativity and critical thinking are encouraged and young people are empowered to actively shape the transformation to a bio-based, sustainable economy.
